Yesterday night, I was in Châtelet district to celebrate the birthday of a friend and we went to Upper Café Les Halles for the first time. We were not disappointed because this is a very good address!
We were lucky to get the last table with leather bench right away. The place was full of people as if we were on a Friday night, which proves that this bar-restaurant is reliable.
The menu is well organized with dividers by product categories and there is happy hour from 5 pm to 9 pm. The cocktails then cost 6 euros instead of 9 euros. I had a Mango fever made with manzana, mango juice and coconut juice (sweet as I like, it tastes like candy!) and my friend chose a Pink Lady (gin, grenadine and lemon juice) which was also very nice!
Then we decided to try their burgers. I had The classic one cheeseburger (13.60 euros) and my friend opted for a bacon cheeseburger (14.60 euros). Frankly, the food is excellent with fresh products and everything is very well presented. Plus, their fries are hot, mellow and crispy at the same time, I love it!
And as we had a birthday to celebrate, we could not finish the meal without dessert! The staff is adorable and was kind enough to put a spark candle on my friend’s carrot cake, it was perfect, thank you!
I had a brownie fudge and nuts with chocolate ice cream, so yummy! Each dessert costed 6 euros.
One thing is sure: we will come back!
