Hello Christmas fans!
We are only at the beginning of November but Christmas markets will make their comeback in Paris soon! Here is the list of Parisian Christmas markets where I intend to go this year, enjoy!
1. Christmas Market of La Défense! This is the largest market you can find in Paris. It contains more than 350 wooden chalets and offers a wide variety of Christmas crafts and food specialties of the French regions. According to me, Christmas Market of La Défense is the most beautiful in Paris! Every year, I go there to eat a delicious sandwich with foie gras, a glass of mulled wine or a tasty hot chcolate “à l’ancienne”, yum! Availability: from November 19 to December 27, 2015. Opening hours: every day from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm.
2. Christmas Market of Champs-Elysées! This is one of the largest and most famous markets of the capital. There are more than 100 wooden chalets. You will find many handicrafts and French gastronomic specialties. Go there in the evening to admire lighting decorations and illuminated Christmas trees! Availability: from November 15, 2015, to January 4, 2016. Opening hours: every day from noon to midnight (it closes at 1:00 am on Friday and Saturday).
3. Christmas Market of Auteuil Faeries! This market is organized by the Auteuil Foundation in Paris 16. It combines creativity and tradition. You will find foie gras, cheeses and wines, but also jewelry and paintings. There will also be an exhibition of Christmas cribs, entertainment for children and adults, a historic carousel and music bands, wow! Availabillity: from December 5 to December 13, 2015. 40 rue Jean de La fontaine 75016 Paris. Opening hours: every day from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
4. Christmas Market of Gare de l’Est! This is a typical Alsatian market located on the forecourt of Gare de l’Est. Alsace wines, cakes, gingerbread, sausages, sauerkraut and other typical Alsatian products are waiting for you, yay! Availability: from December 3 to December 18, 2015. Opening hours: every day from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm (on Sunday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and on December 18 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm).
