Good morning everyone!
Hope you’re enjoying your week-end. Yesterday night, I saw Muse for the fourth time. Ok, two times at Stade de France in 2013, once at the Grand Rex theater in the same year, and yesterday night at the Géode theater. You got it, I’m a huge fan of Muse and when you love, you don’t count the cost! In real life or on big screen, I have to support them because they are absolutely awesome!
The Géode theater is a building with exceptional architecture. The movie room has one of the biggest hemispheric screens of the world, coupled to a sound with incredible power system.
Muse has chosen France to launch the global broadcast of his concert live at Rome Olympic Stadium and they were even at the Géode for the premiere!!! Gosh, I would have given anything to see them again in the flesh.
Let’s back to the movie. Muse is a must in the international rock sphere. For an hour and a half, the British band takes you on a fascinating journey using an impressive technical equipment: pyrotechnics, giant screens, exceptional sound systems, there is even a company of actors accompanying their set-list (a mix of their best-known songs and of their latest album The 2nd Law). This fabulous movie was realized with 16 cameras and it’s the first rock concert filmed in 4K, wow! The shooting is stunning thanks to the “spider” cameras, the crowd is totally wild, you can see closeups of the stage… Matthew Bellamy, Christopher Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard form a perfect trio, their music is flawless and full of magic.
16 songs were played during the show: “Supremacy”, “Panic Station”, “Plug in Baby”, “Resistance”, “Animals”, “Knights of Cydonia” (a masterpiece), “Explorers” (my new lullaby), “Hysteria” (ageless), “Feeling good” (divine), “Follow me” (Oh Muse, I would follow you to the end of the world if I could!), “Madness” (love your glasses, Matt!), “Time is running out” (Don’t worry, I won’t let anyone burry you!), “Guiding Light”, “Undisclosed Desires” (that moment when Matt comes to touch the hand of his fans!!!), “Supermassive Black Hole” (love it!), “Survival”, “The 2nd Law Isolated System”, and “Starlight” to end the concert (so beautiful and emotional).
Too bad that they didn’t play “Unintended”, it’s one of my favourite songs. Luckily, I got it at Stade de France :p
According to me, Matt Bellamy has the greatest voice in the world: powerful, charismatic, mesmerizing, magic and surreal at the same time. Do you know that he can even speak Italian? The connection he has with his public is incredible, there were so much energy, love and passion during the show!
If it had been a real concert, I would had sung, jumped and danced without hesitation! Even if it was a movie, the magic was still there.
Thank you Muse for this awesome moment, keep making us dreaming! Can’t wait for the new album!
Are you a fan of Muse too? If so, don’t hesitate to share your opinion about this band and its concerts. I would be happy to know your favourite Muse songs! See you tomorrow 🙂
