Where to eat awesome junk food in Paris ! :)

Week-end is here, it’s time to treat yourself! Junk food lovers, this post is for you! Come on, don’t be ashamed: it’s cold outside, you have worked hard all week and you need strengths to face winter. Keep those shredded carrots without sauce for another time and go to the gym next week if it can ease your conscience!

Here are my favourite junk food places in Paris…

1. Schwartz’s Deli: you have to try it at least once in your life! For your information, there are 3 Schwartz’s in Paris so no more excuse! I went to the Schwartz’s Marais, Paris 4. Even if you have to queue, you won’t regret your choice! I like the vintage pictures on the walls and you can even eat with the Simpsons, they are so cool 🙂 You will be charmed by the red and white tablecloths tiles, so parisian. They offer 9 different kinds of  delicious burgers. I usually take the Cheese Burger or the Chicken Burger but you have also Fish Burger, Hot spicy Burger, Veggie Burger, Parisian Burger with seared beef tartare, Yankee Burger and so on. Just go and see by yourselves! Estimated prices: 16 euros for a burger. 20.50 euros for main+dessert. Opening hours: from Monday to Friday (12:00 am – 3:00 pm and 7:30 pm – 11:00 pm), on Saturday (12:00 am – 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 11:30 pm) and Sunday (12:00 am – 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm). Where to find it? 16 rue des écouffes 75004 Paris.

2. Bioburger: this lovely fast-food is 100% organic, yes it’s true! The service is very quick and it’s not expensive. Vegetarian people can have a tofu steak “à la provençale” instead of meat by adding a small fee of 0,50 euros. The fries are home made and you can also accompany your burger with coleslaw. You can even customize your burgers with double steak, cheese, onion rings, bacon or vegetables, wow! And the drinks are all organic as well, I love their organic cola! There are 2 Bioburger places in Paris, I went to the Bioburger Victoire, Paris 9. Estimated price: 13 euros for a burger with fries and a drink. Opening hours: from Monday to Friday (11:45 am – 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm – 10:30 pm) and on Saturday and Sunday (12:00 am – 10:30 pm). Where to find it? 10 rue de la Victoire 75009 Paris.

3. HD Diner: Back to the Fifties! They offer 20 flavors of divine milk-shakes with chantilly and cherry on the top, mega burgers, burgers and american brunch. I like the decor, all turquoise blue and pink, so girly. Milk-shakes lovers, there is even Happy Hour: from Monday to Friday (3:00 pm – 7:00 pm), buy one, get one free! 😀 I have a thing with the Mango milk-shake, yum! There are also bagels and desserts directly imported from the States, can you imagine? But I have to warn you: if you order a burger AND a milk-shake, it’s impossible to have a dessert, unless you want your stomach to explode! Estimated price: 21 euros for starter+main or main+dessert. Opening hours : every day from 9:00 am to midnight. There are 6 HD Diner in Paris, in the following districts: Saint-Michel, Marais, Châtelet, Opéra, Rivoli and Bastille. My favorite one is HD Diner Opéra. Where to find it? 25 boulevard des Italiens 75002 Paris.

4. Factory & Co Bercy Village: this is THE place to have bagels! Their fabulous bagels are shaped and baked daily by Factory & Co’s bakers and their pastry chefs make the best New Yorker cheesecakes!  They also offer gourmet salads but the bagels win. Definitively. You can even choose your kind of bread (emmental, poppy, sesame, classic…). I always order the BLT bagel made with caramelized bacon (so tasty!), salad, tomato and mayo. The BLT pack (bagel+fries+drink+small dessert) only costs 10 euros, go for it! The originality of the concept:  you give a name (Hello, I’m Panda :p), order, pay and they give you a buzzer which flashes and vibrates when your order is ready! If you want an advice, you will be too full to have a cheesecake for dessert so you should better come back another day just for tea time 😉 Estimated price: between 10 and 15 euros for a menu. Opening hours: everyday from 11:00 am to midnight. Where to find it? Cour Saint-Emilion 75012 Paris.

Hope this article made you hungry. Don’t hesitate to share your junk food addresses in the comment space! Enjoy your meal, see you soon 🙂
